Meet the Band

The Red Freeman Band is a collective of seasoned musicians whose distinct backgrounds collide to create a roots-driven sound. Blending honky-tonk with bluegrass, jazz, folk, and rock influences, the band delivers a style that’s uniquely their own. It’s the kind of sound that brings back the good old days of boot-scootin’ and hollerin’, mixing classic honky-tonk with a fresh, rowdy rock-and-roll feel.

Fronting the band is Red Freeman on fiddle, guitar, and lead vocals, bringing a lifetime of honky-tonk influence shaped by bluegrass, jazz, and folk traditions. He pulled this group together with a simple goal: to bring honky-tonk back to the South. With a focus on dancin’, good times, and high-energy shows, the Red Freeman Band puts on a performance built to keep crowds moving. The band draws from years of experience, both independently and together, creating a sound that’s tight, confident, and road-ready.

On bass and vocals, Maxwell McLintock brings a classically trained foundation blended with deep rock-and-roll roots, laying down grooves full of soul. Chance Casteel, the band’s gunslinging lead guitarist, delivers fiery lines and sharp tone that cut straight to the heart of the music. Adding rich atmosphere and texture is Cody Smith on pedal steel, grounding the band in classic honky-tonk tradition. Holding it all together is Albert Lachin on drums, keeping toes tappin’ and the rhythm driving forward.
